Turning Data Into Health Impact
The Predictive Analytics (PA) Lab was established at SZABIST under the National Center for Big Data and Cloud Computing (NCBC). Selected through a highly competitive process — 11 out of 130 nationwide proposals — the lab is dedicated to improving public health outcomes across Sindh through AI and data science.
"Two systems. Five health programs. Every district of Sindh. One goal — catching risk before it becomes a crisis."

One Lab in a National Network
Pakistan's Higher Education Commission (HEC) launched four national centers of excellence to tackle the country's most serious challenges through technology — one of them is the National Center for Big Data & Cloud Computing (NCBC). NCBC in turn supports a network of eleven affiliated labs across Pakistani universities. PA Lab is SZABIST's contribution to that network — the lab built specifically around predictive modeling, healthcare analytics, and AI-driven decision support.
From Raw Records to Real Decisions
Public health systems generate enormous amounts of data — immunization records, maternal health visits, TB screenings, lady health worker reports — but data alone doesn't save lives. PA Lab exists to close that gap: DHAS turns raw health records into real-time, readable insight, and DHPS turns that insight into forward-looking predictions, so the programs we support — EPI, NSP, MNCH, TB Control, and LHW — can act before a crisis develops, not after.
